Vocal Production Powerhouse

Become a total badass at producing expressive, professional vocals at home… without being a tech nerd.

You have no idea how good your vocals can actually be.

I'm serious. Most people cutting vocals at home aren't bad at singing or hitting record! You probably got handed a bad process somewhere along the way, and now what should be the most fun part (singing the dang song) feels like a fight. And sounds not good lol.

Cutting vocals and stacking harmonies should be FUN, and I made Vocal Production Powerhouse to bridge the gap for ya! And more importantly, showing you why the way back works, so you're not just copying moves, you actually get it and can build your own personal vocal production style!

Here's the whole thing:

I sat down with a blank session and an instrumental, hit record, and produced a vocal from actual scratch to actually done. Everything left in, no cuts or magic edits. I talk you through every decision I make as I make it, why, and you get to see the good takes, the messy ones, the fixes, the fails and the triumphs to a finished vocal.

My ultimate dream is when it’s your voice, your song, your session and it doesn't look exactly like mine, you still know what to do, and you get to joyfully make music!!!

What’s ahead for ya:

Session Setup & Philosophy

Before a single note gets recorded, I walk you through the routing and template I use for all my sessions, from indie sessions to writing with KPOP idols. Also how I set the room, the singer, and the starting vocal chain so your takes sound LOVELY without tweaking plugins.

Recording & Comping Hacks

How I immediately decide if a take is good, great, or going to the trash, how I flow through my DAW for speed and creative flow, and we cut a vocal live!!

Vocal Stacking Like a Diva

How I layer lots of vocals so it sounds massive and intentional, not muddy and accidental.

Vocal Tuning & Cleanup

How to tune and clean a vocal without it sounding like a robot sang it. The line between "polished" and "personality-erased," and exactly how not to cross it.

Mix-Down & Polish

How lead and background vocals sit differently and why, how to create special moments with effects, and the ear candy that turns a good vocal into a record. Plus how I know when a song is actually done.

Every single one of these exists because I’ve done thousands of sessions in the room with singers, or helped them master this craft for themselves in their home studio. Nothing worse than your vocal sounding amateur, wasting time on stuff that doesn't work, not knowing what's actually broken about your process. This is built to fix that, stage by stage.

Founding Members Bonus

Two live group calls with me, in early December.

Bring your vocals, your session, and your questions. There'll be two times to choose from so you can pick what works. The calls are recorded so nothing gets missed.

This is ONLY offered in the initial launch phase of VPP. This is your one chance to get on a call with me and pick my brain.

Real quick, so you know I'm not making this up:

John McLucas

Ugh fine okay I’ll flex a bit, but I guess that’s what this section is for?? I'm a Billboard-charting producer. I vocal produced a bunch of vocals on Miss Ko's Soul Food, which got nominated for Best Vocal Recording at the Golden Melody Awards (basically the Grammys of the Chinese-speaking music world). I produced the vocals for "Good Good Energy" by Audrey Callahan, which ended up on ESPN. I was also on TAEMIN's "VEIL," which hit #3 on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales… didn't cut his vocals on that one, but I was in the room and on the track. Still a banger, had to mention it teehee.

Point is: I do this for a living, at a level people fly across the country to do with me, or fly me thousands of miles to do with them. I've got several songs coming out a month with amazing artists, and I want to hand you the stuff it took me 15 years to figure out.

And if it doesn't land?

You've got 30 days. Go through the whole thing, try it on your own vocals, and if you don't walk away producing better vocals than you are right now, email me, full refund, no weird hoops. I'm not here to take a single dollar from someone I didn't help. That'd be a lousy way to do this.

Come on. You know this should be fun.

Let's get your vocals where they're supposed to be! And get you actually understanding how they got there. I got your back. Always. :)
